Foundry sand

The outstanding property of quartz sand for foundries and construction industry offerred by us is that the stock of minerals formed by water and wind erosion of rock with quartz content, its mineral composition is homogeneous, its content of clay minerals is extremely low and the form of particles are strongly spherical.


As a result of favorable form of particles, demand for resin binder of these quartzs sands are very low, so their application is economical.


The raw quartz sand   –   produced by excavators and forwarded by conveyors and preliminary separators to to washing unit under a shapr separation  –   is classified and named after as per measuring number of the particles’s middle diameter ( d50 )  (22; 27; 35; 50; x10-2 mm).


The new drying unit make production of intermediary products possible as well ( pl32 ) with large homogenity.

 

Grade of equality of these quartz sand products are very favorable : d75/d25 = 60-75 %

Point of sintering is: 1450-1500 oC

Quartz Sands from Šajdikove Humence ( Slovakia ) :
Foundry sands are sorted based on chemical and physical specifications for the standardized production. These sands are used in foundries for manufacturing of moulds and cores designed for casting of cast iron or nonferrous casts.

Based on the grain size they can be used in building industry, building chemistry and other industries. Content of Si02 exceeds 95%.

All sands produced are delivered in wet or dry condition, in bulk to be loaded on trucks or wagons. Dried sands may be supplied in big bags with capacity up to 1,5 ton or in paper bags with capacity of 50 kg.

Conditions of delivery  :

 

Minimum quantity for order that is available for loading:

                                                                                                      – 1–1,30  tonne in Big Bag

      – 1 tonne in 50 kg or 25 kg paper bags

                                                                                                      – in bulk, by truck ( dried sand by silo truck )

                                                                                                      – 24-25 tons or by railway,
